Foyle Player of the Year

Some Zones allocate points for the Tournamnets run in their Zone, and then calculate who is the top seeds in their Zone.

Top Gun in Donegal for example, only Donegal players participate in the scoring process, and Donegals 'Top Gun' position is won each year by the player with the most points, Pat Walsh winning it the most times I believe.

Should Foyle try something like this as well?
For Example (for talks sake)
Qualify for Tournament in Foyle = 1 point
get to Q-Finals = 2 points
get to S-finals = 3 points
runner-up = 5 points
winner = 7 points

Then someone with the desire (say Ronnie Donnell) could keep score and calculate the positions.

Ardstraw Triples

Ardstraw are running their annual Triples Tournament in May.
Dates of play are; Mon-3rd, Tue-4th, Thurs-6th, Fri-7th, Mon-10th, Tues-11th.
Finals are on Friday-14th.

AGM

The Foyle AGM will be held next Tuesday 20th-April.
Venue - Kilfennan Hall
Time - 7:30pm

All welcome, more attendees the better.

Zone Selectors

Currently the Foyle zone has 6 selectors, 3 men and 3 women. Very few zones go down this route, most have men picking the men’s team and women picking the women’s team. Would the Foyle Mens team benefit from 3 men picking the team?

Strabane Cricket Club

Strabane Cricket Club pairs tournament is on the following dates in April:

Mon 12th, Tue 13th, Wed 14th, Thurs 15th
Mon 19th, Tue 20th

Finals Thurs 22nd

With ever diminishing nos, and no potential of winning things, is it time for Foyle to go back to its roots and rejoin North-West? or maybe even Donegal? (which ironicaly was formed from Foyle)

Rumors are; Billy Holmes, Manus Doherty, Danny Ward, Dermot McCarron, Noel Donnell
But will they have the impact the team needs?

Boomer Cup

Well,
Mens Bowls in Foyle certainly got a boost when the Zone Draw was made.
Nice change not to be drawn against one of the "Elite" teams.
