Foyle CoC participation
From examining the CoC draw Foyle has a total of 4 participants this year. Looking at our neighbouring zones the following information does not make good reading for Foyle.

Donegal and North West lead the way with 13 and 11 entries an abundance of quality and determination in both these zones.
Surprised to see Mid Tyrone with only 6 entries
Foyle bottom with only 4, not a good year, Foyle need the players that make final nights to step up a gear and start turning finals into tournament wins. Some have the potential but do they have the bottle for it!

Champion of Champions
The Champion of Champions takes place on Sat 23rd October.
Foyle are represented by:
Singles
Lynn Hamilton
Plays current International Paul Duff in her first game but goes into the game showing good form having won a ladies singles title last weekend. In a very tough section which includes two former winners J Quinn and E Curran.
Special mention to E Curran the FORMER Foyle man going for 3 in a row. It would be a Massive achievement if he pulled it off.
Pairs
P McCarron and S McGowan
Dermott has opted to play in the Rinks so that leaves Sheila leading and Paddy skipping, Sheila is a steady lead and Paddy a competent bowler.
They play M Traynor from South Tyrone which should be a close game. In a tough section and will run into Alan Paul or Marty Trainor early.
C Curran and G Barr
Tough 1st round game in B Davidson and PJ McCrossan. The 2 Foyle men will need to be on their game. If they can win this one then chances are they could progress a few rounds.
B Holmes and M Docherty
With the "Pont" men on a high from their strong show in the club championship they have a good chance of progressing a few rounds, its likely they will then come up against PJ Gallagher or G Burke and will have to raise their game.
J Louden and R Donnell
As mentioned above the "Pont" men are in fine form going into the CoC. Two great drawers of the game will have a tight opening match against L Conway from Mid Ulster.

Rinks
M Beattie, P McSorley, T Patton and D McCarron
A bye in the 1st round puts them through to the last 8 where they will play Andrew Paul, a quality player and ex A International. The Foyle rink will need to be on form and if they can come through that a semi final spot is likely against the Western rink or the Oriel rink. The top half has some strong rinks in it and last years winners will be hoping to reproduce the form of last year and make it 2 in a row.
Good luck to all Foyle players!
