  4. What a site, you cant complain for complaining. Nothing on this blog seems to be about the foyle league, thats right you dont have one. As for the waterside league useless and one sided due to a city side team playing but others are not welcome or allowed. its about time the iiba looked at foyle as its a closed league. This has no place in bowls anymore. Bowls sites should be about whats happening in clubs for the good of the game, not as is in your case twisted bitterness. You have players that cant and wont play for foyle until you sort out the mess up there. One solution how bowls will florish in foyle is simple, put a good player in charge, end the isolation of clubs and players to the wasteside, yes waste, useless league and build for the futher of bowls in your area.
you all know im right, if im wrong show me the proof.

  5. You are 100% correct i am 1 of the waterside league players that you mention and think it is disgraceful that there are no city side teams involved, i have heard different versions as to why but the simple truth is that there is none but playing in other leagues as a substitute is shameful as well and needs to be stopped asap for the sake of FOYLE and thats what this is all about

  6. At last someone from Foyle who talks a bit of sense........Foyle Zone is only existing because they have so many players playing in the other leagues outside the zone. if we relied on players solely playing in Foyle/Waterside league we would not have a team. So thank you to all the leagues that welcome our Zone players.

  7. That last remark is well meant but it has a huge flaw and that is quite simply that in an attempt to protect their own zone, nw has imposed a stupid and selfish rule preventing Foyle Zone representatives or any other zone from joining and this has put a strangle hold on what has become a very competitive league and in fact has lessened the ability of the local game in the Limavady area to flourish, i for one do not understand how having other zone players in the league can diminsih the nw zone, the choice of plauers available for selection remain constant and letting them play with better, more experienced players can only improve their game but if the argument is at club level then it is up to each club to protect there core team and limit membership to those permitted by necessity, in that way the game at zone level will not be affected neither and all could play and just get on with it, on the same subject, how many of the present Foyle Zone team play regularly in the churches league and of those how many also play in limavady league.

  8. I know its a bit late for a reply but we did not enter the comp under any club, we rang on Thursday and got on, the organisers put us in under Du Pont instead of SCC, but what difference does it make as we play our nationals in Foyle.
