The women play on Saturday 26th November and the men on Saturday 3rd December, the games will be played in Ardstraw, at 2.00p.m. the Team is to meet at the Old Waterside Health Centre, Glendermott Rd., at 12.30p.m.

ReplyDeleteBoth teams look good and it is great to see Rose and Gary back in Foyle and next year Peter Lynch will be on the team as well so its all starting to look good fpr us and who knows who will be counted in the ranks over the next wee while , Troy Deaney possibly and we all know that Ward and Barr are playing their last games for NW they do not belong there and do not want to be there despite what might be said, they will be back

I always find it strange that every year people come on this blog every year and criticize zone team selection.people hide and dont put there names which is there choice but i ask where you all when selectors were picked at agm.Nobody questions what danny ward would bring to our zone but at persent he is a north west player,Am sure if he was picking the team people would still come on here and criticize that team and of course hide behind putting no name.I can assure you the selectors put alot of thought in to team selection but you cant please everyone.

My comment about Danny is not meant as a slight against the NW team, my NW friend, and if you know Danny Ward you will know that wanting to play or not, he will give 110% whilst wearing the blue top and you cant ask for more, i trully hope NW have a great year and play to their full potential, unless they come up against Foyle again, so there is no attempt on my part to upset or stir it is to air my views and if you want to ask the man himself he will tell you the same, Peter got it right when he mentioned nameless posts, i can and will stand by what i say, so as i said on NW blog, good luck to all on NW team on Saturday.
ReplyDeletedanny ward is finding it hard to keep playing bowls.if it was not for st finloughs danny would be gone.he felt he owed st finloughs a debt when they stood by him in the faughanvale incident and that is why he stayed another year.

I feel sorry for Foyle if he intends to be a part of your setup. He does not even care enough about him himself to even worry about how his actions affect others. How long before your zone implodes on itself, t has always been a laughing stock ok i will not be as low as to lie about your ability but that will not carry you forever, it will and is happening as for us well we are still building and are far away from where we need to be but we are moving as we want to and will take Lynch back and then when you loose Ward he too will join the ranks, what other zones are you intending to plunder over the next few years and what rules will you change to accomodate this there is 1 huge difference between the zones, Foyle is selected by the appointed selectors, North West appoint selectors but they are not who select the team, double standards and smoke screens all the way, try to deny it if you can and then prove it.

NMo need for smoke screen, everyone knows who these people are. Even mr ward has a say when he is called in the middle of a meeting to be asked to play. sorry state the zone is in, but this has been the way for years in selections.X NW player, whos glad to be away from the grips of the non selectors that pick the team, and happy at foyle.

Nobody had a problem with danny or gerry being there on Saturday they enjoyed the banter and saw for themselves the good spirit in the foyle team.As for what people have said about june or who picks the team the players know that it is mark,peter,trevor and jonny that pick the team,they maybe don't please us all with selections but they are the guys making the decisions .
