nice to see northwest have turned aganist ward as he has now left northwest zone team, notin new there as peter lynch, bill holmes, lorenzo and jimmy mullan received the same treatment.
ReplyDeleteyou need to wise up and respect players who all did a good job for you lot.
Ward has not confirmed that he has left yet, will wait until next year for that, dont remember anyone doing anything on peter jimmy or lorenzo have heard why bill left and that is up to him but they all seem a lot happier now and it is a shame because north west have a great squad there but very poor leadership which causes friction, we have friction as well but we have a better selection process and most go with it, if Danny decides that he has had enough of the bickering and back stabbing he is experiencing now then only he can change it.
ReplyDeleteSaw the national winners and some surprises, Helen Taylor and Margaret Hamilton winning the ladies pairs, Lee and Trevor getting beat in pairs but some things never change the old guard through in the singles and rinks, Dermott and Mark, always there or there abouts, Lynn in ladies singles no surprise there and the new boys hold on to the tripples , Lorenzo Bill and Manus well done there too 2 years in a row.
Lets hope all the qualifiers do well in Ballymoney in March.
danny get back up the road to foyle were we respect you for what you did for foyle.
ReplyDeletenorthwest would never have made shield final last year or even won the shield without danny.
we treat our convenor with respect and you lot treat lisa douglas like dirt.why does ryan not just take convenors job as he runs the zone
Very strong opinion about Ryan who is a real assett to the NW zone and is 100% dedicated, so what if he says who he thinks should be on the team, we all do it as well but the difference is, when he speaks most people listen but still the question remains with me and that one thing is, how much of a gap is there between us and NW? And is the gap only based on talent or is there a mix of experience and belief missing from iur team as well?
ReplyDeleteMy view on it is simple, it is time to get some new blood into the selection process, people not afraid of making a decision, for the good of the team and not based on individual and if their face fits or not
Dont know which zone you are talking about in last comment if it is nw zone post it on your own blog an if its foyle zone i dont know how you can say if your face fits In foyle players are limited and people drop out who were missed but i still think the team are a good unit.I dont think much can be said about the mens team selectors in foyle they are four fair lads.
ReplyDeleteryan was the man who got danny to play for nw.ryan can do the same again.be a shame if we lost danny as i think without doubt he is best rink skip we have.pls note i said best skip not best player we have as i think danny would admit he is not at his peak these days.if we get a new convenor and selectors we are a team to be reckoned with.
ReplyDeleteAgain this site is not about NW this a bowls site for discussing Foyle bowls mainly, i know that all bowls can be talked about but the main focus needs to be our own zone, NW have their problems and we dont need any part of that or to be drawn into a slagging match, so now that i have got that off my chest, how will the quailfiers do at Ballymoney?
ReplyDeleteTalking about the nationals it wasnt all predictable. In ladies singles ur girl brown was leading against lynn until near the end and pairs helen and margaret hamilton deserved the win. Also open singles lynn was only beat by one shot.
ReplyDeletethe horse is on his way to foyle
ReplyDeleteHope he falls at the next jump before he gets there,no more nags needed.
ReplyDeleteGood horsey
ReplyDeleteEnuf of that, the horse is a good quality bowler and would fit in well with the zone team make the move Nigel you will be welcome
ReplyDeleteYNWIIP
Maybe Danny and Barr coming back to Foyle, possibly Eddie Curran again too now that Donegal ahve returned to mediocre at best, Danny, Dermot and Eddie - 3 great skips for our 2nd half.
ReplyDeleteis ward the only player to ever play bowls.
ReplyDeleteyes the best player who ever played bowls i av seen but he is not only bowler around.
he does not even play for foyle so why keep talkin bout him on here.
Donegal mediocre. Long way ahead of Foyle. Our defeats come against quality teams in the Boomer. Not Meath in the Plate
