Congratulations to Mark Beatie on being selected to represent Ireland and also to Lorenzo Graham on  his selection for the A series.
Everyone at Foyle wish you both every success.

  1. this is another plus for the zone with 2 being selected, i thought that we might have got a few more after last year

  2. WHO in particular ? imagine how Andy Morrison must feel not getting selected for the International team after the season he had and as for the A Series it's only a joke exercise. There should only be one International team and if you're not good enough for the Big Team then you're NOT good enough, simple as.

  3. The A Series is a great idea and it gives a lot of people a taste of what might just be round the corner for them because the main team is selected by elected members who must reach a majority decision and that might not always be the decision we may want to see but it is what we get, so to say that the A series players are not good enough is just argumentative at best, I think that if you look back a lot of the Irish team were also A series players and were glad to be at the time, Foyle have a lot of talent and like most zones, sometimes these players can be overlooked.

  4. Argumentative these comments may be but lets be honest how many times has Alan Laughlin played in the A series ? surely this guy is good enough to be a full International as is Noel Graham so my argument is the A series is only to keep certain Zone convenors happy by getting their favourite players on which aren't necessarily always the best players in the Zone. There are players winning 3,4,5 tournaments a season and will never get a look in, Nigel Hamilton is a very consistent player and a winner, Nishy Logue.

  5. This is about Foyle players and we have a lot of talent who should be knocking on the door of the A SERIES at least Lorenzo has made it this year and he deserves it but what about the likes of Peter Lynch Dermot McCarron Terence Patton Trevor Britton all these players are winning tournaments.
